Release Notes

The Forefront Client Security Deployment Tool is a free toolkit that is meant to provide additional deployment capabilities in addition to those who are available with the RTM Version of FCS . This tool gives network and security administrators the ability to scan their network and/or AD, discover existing solutions that are already installed on their clients, uninstall the existing solution and install FCS Client – all in one.

If you look at the source code, it hasn't been update since 2007. I get errors every time about it trying to install under c:\projects, saying invalid directory path. This makes me think the creator did not change the code to point to the correct location.

This tool made my job a lot easier. I wish FCS came with something like this but I am glad I found it here.

I rate it a one. It looks nice, it is a valuable tool, but there is no support. Nothing. Nada. Zip. There are 5 posts with people that have issues and not a single response from any of the support people. Typical Microsoft. Excellent Idea, Horrible execution. Thanks for wasting half of my day on this. I should have just created a script from the start.
